From eclairs to croissants, we’ll taste the very best pastry Paris has to offer while learning how to perfect them in our own baking. Every aspect of this 9-day small-group tour revolves around the techniques, flavors, and ingredients that make Paris the creme de la creme of pastry.
Like all of our experiences, we believe that food is the best way to experience new cultures, and there is no better place to experience patisserie than in the City of Lights.

Itinerary
Bonjour Paris!
First things first, let’s check into our hotel, drop off our bags, and freshen up from day of travel.
Next, we will head over to one of our favorite Parisian restaurants for our first group dinner. This is a perfect time to get to know the other people in our group, as well as our pastry chef, and chat about our plans for the upcoming week.
If you arrive earlier in the morning, you will have the whole day to explore Paris before dinner, and can drop off your bags at the hotel.

Let the baking begin!
We’ll begin our day with a relaxing breakfast at hotel to help us ease out of our jet lag.
Then, we’ll head over to the baking studio for our first baking class focusing on French pastry essentials. In this mise en place style baking class, you’ll learn how to make creme patisserie, lemon curd, and tart dough. You’ll use these ingredients later on in the week as you prepare tarte au citron and chocolate eclairs.
Once we’ve wrapped up baking for the day, we’ll sit down for an afternoon tea at one of the grand hotels in Paris, where we’ll sample some delicious pastries and treats.
After tea, the time is yours to go out and explore Paris.
Meals included: Breakfast, lunch
After yesterday’s sampling of one of Paris’ most creative pastry chefs, we’ll return to the roots of classical French pastry.
We’ll begin our day with a morning pastry tour lead by our resident pastry chef, Jennifer Pogmore. She’ll take us to a few of her favorite pâtisseries to sample a variety of traditional, irresistible, and of course, delicious French pastries.
For lunch, we’ll enjoy traditional Breton crepes at Breizh Cafe, one of Paris’ quintessential creperies.
Afterwords, we will make our way to the baking studio to finish what we started. We’ll roll out our lemon and fruit tarts, bake, fill, and decorate them with new piping techniques.
Once we’ve wrapped up with our class, the rest of the evening is yours.
Meals included: Breakfast, lunch
Today, we will learn how to make choux pastry! From profiteroles to eclairs and gougères, choux pastry is one of France’s most versatile, and classic pastries.
You will spend the morning learning how to make the iconic chocolate eclair stuffed with a delicious chocolate pastry cream.
After the course, we will enjoy a light lunch in the baking studio.
You will have the rest of the day to wander the beautiful streets of Paris.
Meals included: Breakfast, light lunch
Rise and shine! Today we take a break from baking to learn about one of France’s most popular drinks: Champagne.
We’ll swap the bustle of the city for the calm of the countryside as we enjoy tastings at three champagne houses.
We’ll get a tour of the countryside, see the birthplace of champagne, and enjoy a delightful three-course lunch.
After the tour, we’ll take the train back to Paris where you can relax for the remainder of the evening.
Meals included: Breakfast, lunch
We have been going hard so far, so we are giving you the day to see and do whatever you like!
Whether that’s visiting Versailles to see the opulent chateau and gardens, getting lost in the Louvre, taking a stroll along the Seine, or heading underground to the catacombs, the day is yours to explore this marvelous city.
Jennifer will be offering an optional macaron baking class for those who want to use their free day to bake one of France’s most iconic treats.
Meals included: Breakfast
So far, we’ve occupied a lot of your mornings with baking classes and tours, so switched the order so you have free-time in the morning and baking classes in the evening.
Later in the evening, we’ll gather together at the baking studio to learn the proper technique for making buttery, flakey croissants!
Jennifer will be teaching you how to make the classic croissant and pain au chocolate. After the class, we will make delicious sandwiches with our freshly made croissants paired with fresh salads for dinner.
Meals included: Breakfast, dinner
Our last full day together! To make the most of it, we’ll take a trip to a charming local market to pick up produce for today’s baking class: the Fraisier – a delicious cake filled with strawberries and cream.
Following the class, we’ll give you some free time to see the sights still on your personal bucket list.
Later in the evening, we will gather for our last group meal at a Parisian hot-spot to enjoy a meal, drinks, and good company.
Meals included: Breakfast, dinner
We’ll start the day off with breakfast at the hotel before saying our goodbyes to the group.
Time to return home or to your next destination!
À bientôt!

The Pastry Chef
Jennifer pogmore
Following a classical training in French pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris nearly 10 years ago, Jennifer gained experience working in Parisian pastry boutiques Carl Marletti and Ernest & Valentin before returning to Le Cordon Bleu as a chef instructor. Here she developed her passion for teaching, having the opportunity to instruct students from all over the world.
Now working as a freelance pastry chef based in Perpignan in the south of France, Jennifer will be joining us as our dedicated pastry chef in Paris where she will be teaching you how to make classic French pastries.
Learn more about Jennifer Pogmore on her website.
The Baking Classes
All of our baking classes are private and exclusive to our group with our own professional pastry chef.
Our classes blend insightful demonstrations by our esteemed pastry chef, Jennifer Pogmore, with practical hands-on sessions. Here, participants will collaborate in pairs, allowing for an intimate, shared learning experience.
The focus will be on learning techniques and the science behind French pastry. We encourage you to ask lots of questions throughout the classes.
*As part of our mission to take care of our planet and reduce waste, we have opted for this class structure on our baking tours.
